Cruceros Marpatag

Cruceros Marpatag have two types of cruises on the beautiful Lago Argentino. One is a day cruise exploring the Glaciers and the other is a three day journey on the luxurious Santa Cruz. The Santa Cruz will be operational in the 2011/12 season which commences in October.   Both these journeys are highly recommended and one of the very best ways of seeing the glaciers on Lago Argentino.

The Spirit of the Glaciers journey on the luxurious Santa Cruz will visit the most famous of Glaciers in this region, the Upsala, Spegazzini, Mayo and Perito Moreno.  It will allow you to see these majestic glaciers, with their amazing turquoise colours that change at sunset to incredible shades of orange and red.  At night the southern skies are truly a sight to behold.  The Santa Cruz has very large viewing windows not only in its cabins but in the common areas of the ship. The ship itself is beautifully furnished, it combines comfort, style and the latest modern technology.  There is a total of 22 cabins, each with private bathroom and exterior views.  It includes an exclusive Grand Suite with an imposing private balcony.  There is room for 44 passengers, gourmet meals are served in the restaurant, there is a bar, library and lounge area.   Having experienced the level of service and beauty of the one day trip we look forward to experiencing this journey.

The Crucero Leal offers a day excursion with a fabulous gourmet lunch and a tour that includes a very intimate look at the claciers in the Upsala Channel, and the majestic Spegazzini Glacier.   The Crucero Leal takes 28 passengers in absolute comfort.  Again there are panoramic windows from which to enjoy the incredible scenery.  The Marpatag website gives full information on both these cruises together with contact details.
